Date-sweet lassi — a cooling curd cup that builds bones with no added sugar (2–5 years)
A cool, frothy curd lassi sweetened only with dates — easy calcium and protein for bones, in the drink children already love.
Why am I making this?
Curd (dadhi) gives well-absorbed calcium and protein for bones plus gut-friendly cultures, and dates sweeten it naturally (madhura) so there's no added sugar; a familiar, cooling lassi doing real bone work. Blending the dates right in is the chef's step — the lassi sweetens itself. Classical texts prize dadhi among the nourishing milk preparations.
