Mango-paneer smoothie — a summer treat that works like a protein shake (2–5 years)
Tastes like a summer treat, works like a protein shake — ripe mango blended with soft paneer and milk, quietly loaded for healthy gain.
Why am I making this?
Mango makes children happy, and paneer makes the drink work for gain — a clever pairing of flavour and nourishment. The classical texts hold dugdha (दुग्ध, milk) and its fresh preparations to be deeply nourishing and strengthening, and the ripe sweet mango to be building among fruits. Soft paneer adds protein and good fat, milk anchors it, and the mango carries the taste. Offered as a seasonal snack, this luscious smoothie slips real building nourishment into something a child happily finishes.
Ancient text
Milk and its fresh preparations deeply nourish, and the ripe sweet mango builds the body.
The classical texts hold dugdha (milk) and its fresh preparations to be deeply nourishing and strengthening, with the ripe sweet mango valued as building among fruits. A mango-paneer smoothie reflects that pairing of fresh milk-cheese and sweet fruit as rich, building nourishment.

Modern research
Paneer adds protein, fat and calcium; with mango and whole milk it makes a protein- and energy-dense smoothie that supports lean growth and healthy weight gain, with vitamins A and C from mango.

What every mother asks
My child refuses paneer — will she drink this?
Isn't mango too sugary?
Will it help her gain?
A few honest notes
- Use soft, fresh paneer and blend very smooth; ensure dairy is tolerated; introduce mango on its own first if new.
- Use whole cow's milk from one year; serve fresh with supervision; no added sugar needed.
- Keep it between meals so it adds to, not replaces, solids.
- If your child isn't gaining weight despite eating, consult your paediatrician — we walk beside the doctor's care, never in its place.
Storage & make-ahead
Best fresh — paneer and mango are best blended just before serving. Make to order; if needed, refrigerate briefly and use within an hour, stirring well. Keep paneer fresh and cold until use.
