Ghee-cashew paneer pulao — a fragrant, calorie-rich rice for a child who needs to gain (2–5 years)
Fragrant pulao with soft paneer, ground cashew and a little extra ghee — a rich, nutty rice that adds gentle, wholesome calories for healthy gain.
Why am I making this?
Paneer brings protein and calcium, ground cashew and a little extra ghee (sneha) add the healthy calories a light eater needs, and a fragrant, mildly spiced pulao makes them all delicious (ruchi); soft and colourful for little ones. Grinding the cashew and keeping the paneer soft are the chef's steps. Paneer and ghee are classical; cashew sits within the satmya principle. If you are worried about your child's growth, please see your paediatrician.
