Sunflower-seed date bites — soft no-bake bites loaded with the brain's vitamin E (2–5 years)
Soft date bites rolled with ground sunflower seeds — a quiet pocket of vitamin E and good fats for a growing brain.
Why am I making this?
Sunflower seeds are rich in vitamin E and good fats that support the brain, and ground into a soft date bite they're safe and naturally sweet (ruchi) with no added sugar. Grinding the seeds is the chef's step that makes them absorbable and safe for little mouths. Sunflower seed is a modern seed, placed within the satmya principle; dates (kharjura) are classical.
